Would you buy this Suzuki scooter?

If you were in the market for a scooter, would you be interested in something like this?

Some members of Suzuki’s R&D department decided to create this styling study for the company’s popular Burgman 400 scooter. It was created in an attempt to gauge customer interest in this type of scooter (apparently trying to gain a younger scooter audience than what it consists of at present) and displayed at Suzuki’s dealer show last September to gauge their interest as well. Apparently it was a hit with the dealers. What do you think? Let us know your thoughts on this sporting take on scooters by Suzuki.

1. Not a chance. But then I'm probably not the person they're trying to reach. Trying to get someone to by a scooter because it looks similar to race rep is just wrong. I've got nothing against scooters, they are the way of the future in many respects but this marketing idea sucks.

2. I can't see me riding this scooter, but then again no details have been furnished. I know it's based on a Burgman 400, but has anything been done to it to reflect the attractive paint job? Something like engine upgrades, better rubber, etc. Let's get real; most guys 14 to 70 are not gonna be caught riding this machine. But for those wishing a tamer ride without having to manually change gears, this may be what works for them.

I would be interested but I'm sure I would eventually settle on something else. Like the second post said not quite enough details, and can the scooter back up the paint job? I would think if I was looking for a scooter I would be looking for something a little calmer and not so flashy, otherwise I would prolly be in the sport/sport tourer market. That said, Aprilia make a little RR scooter and I'm sure it does well.

4. I already have an AN400 Burgman and the kolor skeeme is a killer here. Now grey/blak like the GS500F or the GSx650F would be great. For the ones who think the AN is a "tame ride", try 115 MPH, pissing of guys on trucks with their big Harley hauling trailers. HA!

6. It kinda looks they are just trying to sell looks. To me, it's mediocre. As mentioned above there are no stats and that includes pricing. I hope the ones out there that would purchase this happy riding. To all of us who perfer a real bike to this option, try to be nice when blowing buy these guys on the highway. Remeber that they chose two wheels as well. Ride safe, ride hard, and ride on!!!
